What Do Wilder Things Do?
We Plant Trees
In partnership with The Woodland Trust, thousands of school children and loads of private companies, Wilder Things has planted over 50,000 trees across the UK! The team have worked at Chatsworth House, York University, Ranton Estate, Trentham Gardens, Ridgeway Wood, Gig Hall, Langley Vale and Hartwood in St Albans.
We Make Art!
With community groups, schools, Guides, Scouts, Cadets………..
Wilder Things love wild art! Our inspiration comes from everywhere around us and from everyone from Gaudi to Goldsworthy.
Some of our Woodland Art Projects include working with hundreds of children and adults to produce natural art collages, Living Willow Tunnels and Tepees, Den Building, Clay Modelling, Brash Sculptures and many more. You name it, we can make it art!
Projects can be tailored to the needs of any group, the materials available and the age groups.
We Throw Parties!
Birthday Party, School Fair, Jamboree or Charity celebration?
We are currently delivering Wild parties at Grappenhall Walled Garden in Warrington, but we can take the party anywhere to suit you.
Have a go at Archery, Bush craft or Wild art or get theatrical with Storytelling at one of our themed parties tailored to suit you.
Cake and wild catering can also be included!

Improving Your Local Area
From restoring a derelict churchyard with the parishioners to creation of a school environmental area, We can design, build and teach a community group how to make the most of their space.
We Did the Woodland Communities Project
Runner up in National Lottery Environment Award 2013
With funding from Natural England’s Big Lottery fund called Access to Nature, we worked in schools, youth groups, with local community groups and Guides to name a few.
We focused our attention on 10 urban woods with issues like fly-tipping, vandalism and anti-social behaviour to encourage local people to feel safe and to enjoy their woods again.
We worked in 30 schools with 4831 children. For some children attending Woodland Discover Sessions was the first experience ever of going into a wood and many of them said afterwards that it was “best day of their life”
Other great successes of the project included working with hundreds of volunteers. With the help of BTCV, Groundwork and Halton Conservation Project, we have worked with the young and old across the two towns, creating “Friends of” groups and a Nature Detective Group.
We utilised over 9000 hours of volunteer time exceeding our original targets by 23 times!
We Make Films
Wilder Things can offer film making projects to community groups old and young using the latest tricks and techniques to make learning fun and accessible.
In collaboration with Absolute Media we produce puppet films. You can watch the video or go to Wood Chat on Youtube to see their funniest project.
